Kerri Verna has been a fitness instructor since 2002. Most known for her Instagram account @beachyogagirl, she has gathered over 1 million followers who find inspiration, encouragement, and wisdom through Kerri's photos and words.
She understands the everyday person who struggles with fitness because, until the age of 28, she had never worked out a day in her life. Her love for Yoga started when she became pregnant with her first child in 2004 and couldn’t do high impact fitness classes anymore.
Over the years yoga has become her favorite form of exercise. Kerri currently practices everyday whenever this busy mom of two can find time in the day. She also teaches 5 yoga classes during the week. In 2012 she combined her love for the ocean with her love for yoga and started "Beach Yoga with Kerri" classes at her local beach, which have become a nationwide hit, with people traveling from different states and countries just to attend.
Irene's love for yoga is contagious. She began practicing in 2012 and immediately knew she had found her path. When she did her first 200 hour teacher training she did not intend to teach right away, but she soon realized that sharing yoga with others was her purpose.
As an Ashtanga and Rocket yoga practitioner, she enjoys both a traditional practice as well as a spontaneous one. When teaching, she encourages students to seek balance between strength and flexibility in both mind and body. Her classes are challenging but leave you feeling excited and alive, with a new respect for the abilities of your body.
Kaisa and Jennifer met 10 years ago at the University of Washington, where they were both members of the track and field team. After graduating they both became certified personal trainers and Kaisa went on to get her Masters in Exercise Science (specializing in Sports Performance and Injury prevention). Jennifer went on to get certified as a fitness nutrition specialist through NASM. After graduating both Kaisa and Jennifer were dealing with several injuries, the result of years of training under the “no pain, no gain” philosophy, and their bodies had finally had enough.
Through their passion for movement and understanding of the human body, they began to develop their own philosophy of movement. This philosophy was based on the belief that a connection to one’s body was the foundation of movement.
After several years of experimenting on their own bodies, they began to develop a program for their clients. One that allowed people to slowly and simply understand their own body and cultivate a relationship between their mental and physical being.
Their belief that movement should be fun, simple and pain-free is what motivates them to share their philosophy. They strongly believe that only you truly understand your body and that a few useful tools will give you the power and ability to achieve whatever you desire in movement and beyond.
